I've always hated him. Comes across as an obnoxious little twat with an irritating whiney voice & his overt bias towards Everton was way beyond the pale
BT should sack him immediately
I thought Phil Neville, who played for Everton & therefore had every reason to be biaed was very good & very even-handed, exactly as a commentator should be
David James is another one who should be sacked for talking total bollocks (though he obviously needs te work)

He comes across as decent bloke, but not very well as a commentator, his accent is irritating and he sounds like he has a sinus problem.
I also think although he was trying his best to be impartial, his excitement in both matches got the better of him and he forgot his obvious allegiance to the bin dippers.
